OperaTor 3.3 "forgets" skin, preferences, and toolbar settings

Every now and then I need to reset all of my settings because OperaTor 3.3 “forgets” skin, preferences, and toolbar settings. The other versions would do this also. I like to have hundreds of tabs open at any given time, but I use a small screen, so I use Breeze Simplified Micro skin. All my settings are often lost, and I have to reconfigure everything to maximise my screen space. Any ideas how to fix this?
